Chart Data has shared the projected first week streams and slaes for Kanye West's new album ye. The seven-track project is thought to have moved 175-190k equivalent album units, with between 70-80k coming from pure album sales.
The album's numbers are fairly strong considering the project's short length. For comparison's sake, A$AP Rocky's 15-track album TESTING is set to debut at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with 75k equivalent albums. Just ahead of Rocky's project is Pusha-T's DAYTONA, another seven-track album released on Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music, which reportedly moved 77k units for a bow at No. 3.
Two of the biggest rap debuts of the year have belonged to Post Malone and J. Cole. Post's album beerbongs & bentleys exploded at No. 1 in May with 461k units streamed and sold, while Cole's KOD project debuted the week prior with 397k total after seven days.
