Summer is prime wedding season. East London's Barney Artist knows this and he also understands that the best bit of those events is the party in the evening. His new track "Something True," skips the formalities entirely and heads straight to the dancefloor, "skanking with the family" to Marvin Gaye.

"I want something," he says over a funky, jazz-infused beat, reminiscent of Kaytranada, before correcting himself to say "I need something true." "Something True" will feature on Barney Artist's debut album Home Is Where The Art Is, due in the fall. The record will feature close friends and kindred spirits Tom Misch, Jordan Rakei, and Alfa Mist.

Speaking to The FADER via email, Barney said: "'Something True' should make you feel a little tipsy and very in love."
