Kanye West did not attend the Music Modernization Act singing ceremony

Kanye West was scheduled to join President Donald Trump at the White House on Thursday for a signing ceremony to celebrate the passage of the Music Modernization Act, an overhaul of music copyright and royalty payments. However, Jennifer Jacobs of Bloomberg News reports that West is not among the musicians and music industry figures present for the ceremony.

It is unknown if West's absence from the signing ceremony will affect the previously scheduled meeting with Trump and White House advisor Jared Kushner. On Thursday The White House shared a press release stating the discussion will center around President Trump's historic work to benefit all Americans. West is a vocal supporter of Trump.
