Charli XCX channels all of her Spice Girls energy on her cover of the British pop icon's 1996 hit "Wannabe." The track, titled "Spicy," is produced by Diplo and French artist Herve Pagez, and arrives as the Spice Girls begin a reunion tour across the U.K. Watch the "Spicy" video, complete with space dolphins, below.

Writing about the song earlier this week, Charli said: "[I]looked up to the pop gods & they said "Charli – you're the chosen one: honor the spice girls' return with a mind blowing version of one of their iconic smash hits" & I said "k no probs hun I got this" so I called @diplo & @hervepagez & SPICY was born."

Earlier this month Charli dropped her Lizzo collaboration "Blame It On Your Love" — a reworking of 2017's Pop 2 tsong "Track 10." She also performed with Miley Cyrus at Radio 1's Big Weekend festival. While there she told reporters she's working on an "experimental" new album and wants to "push my sound and push pop as far as it can go."
