WurlD and Sarz tell a tale of complicated love in “Mad”

The song is the latest single from the duo’s recently released EP, I LOVE GIRLS WITH TROBUL.

At the top of last month, superstar Nigerian producer Sarz teamed up with singer WurlD to release I Love Girls with Trobul, an eight-track EP that covers the different facets of romance through afrobeats, dancehall, and R&B. During the early rollout of the project, the duo also shared a video for featured track "Ego." In the video, WurlD's complicated relationship with a new lover is depicted, showing that both parties' egos is hindering their connection from thriving.

Today the visual continuation of that story is premiering on The FADER. "Mad," as a standalone song has a steady production that can give way to catching a groove, but it's minimal enough to allow WurlD to convincingly drive home the task of dealing with his now-ex lover's stress on top of his own. In the video, though his lover is present, he seems to be deep in thought, assessing the situation that's being sang about.

If Sarz and WurlD continue on this path, it seems like I Love Girls with Trobul could be just as successful as a short romantic film, as it is as an EP. Watch the video for "Mad" above.
