Yesterday, it was announced that Donald Glover — the actor, singer and rapper known as Childish Gambino — was fundraising for Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang and his #YangGang. The pair held a public pop-up fundraiser in Los Angeles yesterday evening at which both Yang and Glover were present, where fans could buy exclusive merchandise designed by Glover.
As Consequence of Sound points out, Yang’s team has today announced that Glover has officially come onboard on Yang’s campaign as the presidential candidate’s “creative consultant.” The Glover-designed merchandise was the first fruit of the said partnership, with a press release sent to CoS noting that “the specialized merchandise embodies the core policies and values of Andrew Yang’s Humanity First platform,” and that “future collaborations are expected.” See Glover’s Andrew Yang merch below.
