Digital FORT Day 1 is now over, and this video has been removed from The FADER.

Multi-talented West London-born artist Riz Ahmed's new album, The Long Goodbye, is a fiery retort to British racism, parochialism, and colonial hypocrisy. In his own words, it's "a breakup album about breaking up with a country that you call home," and his submission to Digital FORT is as every bit emotional and incendiary as the album itself. He starts on his balcony, rapping "Where You From" a capella ("Born under a sun that you made too hot for us / Kidnapped by empire and diaspora fostered us") before calling Jay Sean on FaceTime to run through "Any Day." Watch it above, then go listen to The Long Goodbye.
