The audiobook version of Lana Del Rey's new poetry collection Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass is available from today, July 28. Scroll down to hear the sample track "LA Who Am I To Love You."
The audiobook features Del Rey reading her poetry over music from regular collaborator and producer, Jack Antonoff. It is available digitally via Interscope ahead of a September 29 release for the hardcover and ebook versions. At time of its initial announcement, Del Rey stated that half the proceeds from the record would go towards Native American charities as a "reparative act;" an Instagram post from July stated that the Navajo Water Project will benefit from proceeds of the audiobook.
Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass follows 2019 album Norman Fucking Rockwell. Back in May Del Rey told her Instagram followers that she expects to drop a new album, possibly titled Chemtrails Over the Country Club, by the end of 2020.
