During the seemingly never-ending wait to discover the results of the U.S. election, Phoebe Bridgers made a promise. Should Trump lose she would cover a classic song in celebration. Not just any song, specifically Goo Goo Dolls' 1998 hit "Iris." 2020 came through with some belated good news and now Bridgers has stumped up the cover version. As a bonus she recruited Maggie Rogers to join her on the new version, which is streaming below.

Bridgers & Rogers cover will be available via Bandcamp for just 24 hours on November 13 with all proceeds being donated to Stacey Abrams'voting-rights and advocacy organization Fair Fight.

Bridgers recently launched her own label, Saddest Factory, and unveiled claud as the first act signed to the Dead Oceans imprint. Her second album Punisher arrived in June. Later this month she will share Copycat Killer, an accompanying EP of songs from the album re-recorded with a string section. Rogers' most recent album is 2019's Heard It In A Past Life.
