No list of new generation rappers who deserve more flowers would be complete without including SahBabii. The Atlanta artist emerged in 2016 as one of the city's many Young Thug-influenced rappers, but he quickly carved out his own lane with lyrics alternately grim and grin-inducing and an ear for gorgeous beats that made him sound like the black sheep of heaven who causes a ruckus while floating on a cloud.

Last year's project Barnacles was unfairly slept on, but SahBabii isn't putting a couple of years between projects anymore — this October he'll drop a new tape called Do It For Demon, a project named in honor of a deceased friend. Its first single is "Bread Head," a call to battle with a gorgeous, trap-meets-RPG-soundtrack instrumental by DP Beats. One of SahBabii's assets is that his voice sounds naturally soothing even when he's offering convincing threats of violence and documenting their effects on him. "Like a hurricane hit, whole bunch of bodies all up in my dome." Whew. Have a listen above.
