Pinegrove have announced Marigold, the indie rock band's fifth studio album. It's out on January 28, 2022 via Rough Trade, and follows the 2020 project Marigold. Today, you can hear a new song from the album called "Alaska."

Coming in at a spartan two minutes, "Alaska" is a rollicking, diaristic barn-burner in the vein of Bright Eyes and early Arcade Fire, with catharsis wrapped around every chord. "Alaska" is the second song to be shared from 11:11 after "Orange," which was released this past summer.

“Calling the record 11:11 should be a heartening statement," Pinegrove frontman Evan Stephens Hall said in a press release, "though there’s certainly a range of emotion across the album. There’s much to be angry about right now, and a lot of grief to metabolize. But hopefully, the loudest notes are of unity, collectivity, and community. I want to open a space for people to feel all these things.”

Next year, Pinegrove will embark on a huge tour of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe. See all those dates below.
