The Weeknd has announced details of a music special available to Prime Video users. The Dawn FM Experience will be streaming from Saturday, February 26 and features music from Abel Tesfaye's Dawn FM, released earlier this year. According to a statement, the special “expands the Weeknd’s latest album, Dawn FM into a mesmerizing visual, creating a theatrical performance event that will envelope audiences in its unnerving and moody world.”
“I’m ecstatic to partner with Amazon to premiere the most elaborate live TV special I’ve ever done,” said Tesfaye is quoted as saying. “Welcome to the next phase of Dawn FM — a purgatory otherworld where live performance, theater, and performance art collide for a night out at the club.”
An eight-track live EP taken from the special will also be available exclusively on Amazon Music alongside a Dawn FM Experience merch drop. The Weeknd previously partnered with Amazon on a livestream on Twitch and in the Amazon Music app on the night he released Dawn FM in January.
Since the release of Dawn FM The Weekend has shared a deluxe edition of the album as well as a chopped-not-slopped remix courtesy of The Chopstars.
