Eighteen-year-old digicore phenom dltzk (pronounced “delete zeke”) has dropped what they claim is their final release as leroy. The album-length mash-up mix — the third such project in dltzk/leroy’s catalog — is titled Dariacore 3... At least I think that’s what it’s called?.
Named for dltzk’s favorite show — which aired its finale before they were conceived — “Dariacore” isn’t just a single artist’s mixtape series; it’s an entire genre in and of itself, taking hyperpop’s silliest tendencies to their logical conclusions by weaving in vocal samples from (in part three’s case) the likes of Karen O, Avril Lavigne, Justin Bieber, and Jack Johnson.
