Demi Lovato has announced her retirement from touring. The 30-year-old pop star from Albuquerque, New Mexico shared the news on her Instagram stories on Tuesday. “I’m so fucking sick I can’t get out of bed. I can’t do this anymore,” she wrote This next tour will be my last. I love and thank you guys.”

Later, she clarified that she’d be finishing her current international run in support of last month’s HOLY FVCK LP before taking her final curtain call. “Gonna power thru it for you guys,” she noted, adding, “I’ll need help singing so sing loud for me bb’s!!”

Lovato has been vocal about her mental health and addiction issues in the past. In 2018, she was hospitalized after an opioid overdose following a relapse after six years of sobriety. She detailed the experience in the 2021 documentary Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil and released Dancing With the Devil… The Art of Stating Over,” her first full-length project since 2017’s Tell Me You Love Me, the following week. Earlier that year, she performed at Celebrating America, a Tom Hanks-hosted special in honor of Joe Biden’s inauguration.
