Post Malone was forced to end his show in St. Louis early on Saturday night (September 17) after accidentally falling into a pit in the stage. Fan footage from the Twelve Carat Toothache tour date shows the artist performing "Circles" to the crowd before turning round and falling heavily on his ribs as he accidentally stepped into the pit. He immediately signalled for help and was tended to by medics for 15 minutes, before returning and performing two more songs.

“St. Louis, I’m so fucking sorry I ruined the show tonight, ladies and gentleman,” Post said after returning to perform for much less time than originally planned. “I promise next time I come around, I won’t fucking wreck y’alls night, I’m sorry for that. That being said, I want to thank you for your patience and I’m sorry. There was a big-ass hole in the middle of the stage that I just busted my ass on.”

A date in Columbus, Ohio went ahead as planned on Sunday, September 18. Post Malone updated fans on his condition prior to taking to the stage, saying on Twitter that he was feeling better and had received medical care.

“We just got back from the hospital, everything’s good—they gave me some pain meds and everything so we can keep kicking ass on the tour,” he said. “I just want to apologize to everyone in St. Louis, and I want to say thank you guys so much for coming to the show. And next time I’m around this way, we’re gonna do a two-hour show for you to make up for the couple missed songs that we missed.”

Post Malone released new album twelve carat toothache earlier this year. It features the singles "One Right Now" and Doja Cat-collaboration "I Like You (A Happier Song)."
