Ozzy's Dungeon is Flying Lotus's second foray into film directing. In 2017 he shared his feature debut Kuso, a midnight horror gross-out extravaganza starring Tim Heidecker, Zack Fox, Hannibal Burress, and George Clinton. In January of this year he announced his return to directing with a new sci-fi body horror film called Ash; the film is written by Jonni Miller and follows a woman who "wakes up on a distant planet and finds the crew of her space station viciously killed, her investigation into what happened setting in motion a terrifying chain of events."

Prior to Ozzy's Dungeon, FlyLo soundtracked the Netflix anime Yasuke, a reimagination of the legend of the first Black samurai, as well as Steven Soderberg's Perfect and the opening theme for the Magic Johnson documentary series They Call Me Magic.
