Perfume Genius is the latest artist to record songs for Spotify's Live at Electric Lady series and today shares a cover of Radiohead's "4 Minute Warning" plus three songs of his own; "Whole Life," "Photograph," and "On The Floor." The EP is streaming below.
"4 Minute Warning" first appeared on the special edition of Radiohead's 2007 album In Rainbows included on a second disc. The Perfume Genius songs on the EP are taken from 2020 album Set My Heart on Fire Immediately ("Whole Life," "On The Floor") and this year's Ugly Season ("Photograph").
“Touring over the last year has been really inspiring after so long away,” Mike Hadreas, a.k.a. Perfume Genius, said in a statement. "I am happy to have a document of the new vibrancy and rousing spirit my band brings to the live versions of our most recent albums. '4 Minute Warning' became a favorite of mine during lockdown, something I would sit and sing over and over on the piano in my room. I’m happy to be out of that room now and sharing again."
In addition to releasing Ugly Season, Perfume Genius has also appeared on songs by Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Alice Boman, and Nakhane this year.
