BLACKPINK became the first K-pop act to headline the 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Saturday (April 16), four years after making history as the first K-pop group to ever perform at the annual event. The group's four members — Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa — performed hits like "Kill This Love," "How You Like That," "Whistle," "Lovesick Girls" and "Forever Young" as well as music from their respective solo careers.

During the set, Rosé addressed the crowd and thanked them for their years of support in remarks transcribed by Korea JoongAng Daily. "About four years ago, we were invited to perform for you guys here at Coachella over there at the Sahara Tent and I believe that made a mark in all of our hearts and made us remember the passion performing for you guys. Thank you so much. I feel like all four of us — Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa and I — are here all because of you guys."
