Tyler, The Creator hints at Camp Flog Gnaw’s 2023 return

The clue comes at the end of Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem’s music video for “The Hillbillies.”

Tyler, The Creator‘s festival Camp Flog Gnaw has been on a pandemic-induced hiatus since 2019, though Tyler’s manager Christian Clancy said last year that 2023 would see the Camp’s return. News has been quiet since that October reveal. But today (May 30), Tyler, The Creator has injected some life into the prospects of a Camp Flog Gnaw in 2023 with his cameo appearance in the music video for Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem‘s new song, “The Hillbillies.”

Tyler makes a handful of appearances in the music video, shot mostly in and around Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. In the clip’s final shot, Tyler holds up a button to the camera reading “Camp Flog Gnaw 2023.” He then gives an exaggerated finger-point towards Dodger Stadium, suggesting a return to the site of the 2019 event.

No line-up or date information for the festival has been released. However, Camp Flog Gnaw’s official website has been updated to include “The Hillbillies” video, strongly suggesting that an official announcement is on the way. And considering how Tyler raised the prospect of Camp Flog Gnaw 2023 — in a music video by Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem — speculation that the two rappers might headline the festival has already begun.
