Rosalía tours Tokyo in video for new song “Tuya”

Rosalía is back with her second solo single of 2023. Following January’s “LLYLM” — not to mention March’s RЯ, a joint EP with her romantic partner Rauw Alejandro — “Tuya” is a slick, slow-building jam with a beat by prolific reggaeton producer Chris Jedi.

The new song comes with a Stillz-directed visual treatment in which Rosalía tours the city of Tokyo, strolling through neon-lit streets and dipping into a ramen joint, and swimming in a steamy pool. “Exploring is part of who I am as a musician, and, in the case of ‘Tuya,’ inspirations such as reggaeton, Japanese instruments, flamenco, and gabber techno coexist at the same level,” Rosalía explains in a press release.
