When they first broke out at the tail end of the 2010s, Charly Bliss were the right band at the right time. They made pop-punk that was one part Melodrama for every part Joyce Manor, and early singles “Ruby“ and “Percolator“ played like glitter-filled syringes of adrenaline. By the time the band released Young Enough in 2019, a mainstream breakthrough didn’t seem out of the question. But when the world needed them the most, they vanished.

Well, sort of. Charly Bliss followed Young Enough with the Supermoon EP later that year, and teamed up with PUP to release “It’s Christmas And I Fucking Miss You” during the 2020 holiday season. But “You Don’t Even Know Me Anymore” is their first new solo single since those halcyon, pre-pandemic days. Produced by Jake Luppen of Hippo Campus, the song is goofier and less immediate than their best tracks, but Eva Hendricks’ inimitable voice still hits the same pleasure centers it did four years ago.

Check out the new song’s sunny, Dan Shure-directed music video below.
