Philadelphia band Spirit of the Beehive have unveiled their newest project. The four-track EP, i’m so lucky, is their first offering since their 2021 album, ENTERTAINMENT, DEATH, one of our favorite projects of that year. Along with the album announcement, they've also delivered a Daniel Patrick Batement-directed music video for double single “tapeworm’ and “natural devotion 2.”
The group's continued existence was put into question after members Zack Schwartz and Rivka Ravede's personal relationship ended in 2022. “For the first three or four months after it ended, it was pretty rough,” said Schwartz in a press statement. “I don't know if anybody was sure we would continue doing the band. But then we sorted it out slowly and we just all wanted to get back to work.”
i’m so lucky will be available everywhere on September 1 via Saddle Creek. SPIRIT OF THE BEEHIVE will also be going on an 8-date tour across the east coast that month. See below for dates.
