Injury Reserve/By Storm are this week’s guest on The FADER Interview podcast. Earlier this month Nathaniel RiTchie and Parker Corey retired the name Injury Reserve, a name they first used as part of a trio with their late bandmate Steppa J. Groggs, who passed away in 2020. RiTchie and Corey put out the last Injury Reserve work (a video for their song "Bye Storm") alongside "Double Trio," their first music as By Storm.

Speaking to The FADER's David Renshaw about the change of name, as well as their new music and future plans, Corey explained: "It felt like the most gentle handoff. It's kind of a confusing band name too, which I don't mind. I think confusing is good, for the most part, because everything is talking down to you like you're a baby now."

RiTchie, meanwhile, added: "The cards were laid out for us. No one was thinking about anything else. While people have always loved the IR name, we've felt — maybe just because we were kids when we came up with it — like maybe it didn't fit us."
