Last year we waved goodbye to BROCKHAMPTON with the eclectic troupe sharing two final albums, The Family and TM, and a celebratory farewell concert at The Fonda in Los Angeles. De facto bandleader Kevin Abstract has kept a low profile in the subsequent months but recently re-emerged with a couple of surprise solo shows in New York and LA. Today he takes a further step out of the shadows by releasing "Blanket." Scroll down to find the accompanying video, directed by Abstract and Cole Bat.
"Blanket" is a short, sweet re-introduction to Abstract's world and an update on his creative direction. Acoustic guitars usher in a series of punk-y chords and howls that screech like car tyres trying to gain traction on the road side. It'll be interesting to see where he takes this sound next.

Next month Abstract is on the line-up for Camp Flog Gnaw, Tyler, The Creator's annual music festival. He previously released two solo albums; American Boyfriend in 2016 and Arizona Baby, which arrived three years later.
