Kelela has shared In The Blue Light a live album recorded across a two-day residency at New York City jazz club The Blue Note in May 2024. The album reimagines Kelela's back catalog, primarily rooted in slick, forward-facing club production, as something softer and more earthly, with songs including "Better" and "Bank Head" retooled using harps and strings.

In The Blue Light features tracks from across Kelela's albums Cut 4 Me, Hallucinogen, Take Me Apart. and 2023's Raven. There is also a beautiful cover of Joni Mitchell's "Fury Sings The Blues" included on the setlist.

The live album comes accompanied by a documentary film filled with footage from the Blue Note residency, as well as the development and rehearsal process that came beforehand. The film is available for purchase and stream on all digital platforms from February 18.

Kelela released her last album RAVE:N, The Remixes Last year. Listen to In The Blue Light, below.
