It feels like Lorde is more closely tied to New York than ever before. She is partying in Washington Square Park, she's backing Zohran for Mayor, and she namechecked Baby's All Right on "What Was That." Naturally, the Williamsburg venue made the perfect location to debut her new album Virgin before its release this Friday (June 27).
The New Zealand native previewed songs, including "Hammer" and "Man Of The Year," from her highly anticipated album on Sunday night, lip syncing to the new music alongside fans and streaming the whole thing on TikTok live. This gave the fans back home a chance to interact with Lorde, chiefly by giving her a virtual cowboy hat to wear while she danced with her IRL fans.

In addition to giving fans a preview of her album, Lorde also teased the merch she will (presumably) be selling on her upcoming world tour. The Virgin lighter just jumped to the top of my wish list.
