Exclusive Video: Cut Copy Play in Front of Bright Lights

Could Cut Copy ever hit U2 levels of stardom? Probably not, but this video (brought to you by yourstru.ly, who you might remember from the Wavves video) gets them one step closer. There’s a good chance that we made the U2 comparison because the band is silhouetted by bright neon lights and that seems like something U2 would do, but either way, we can’t deny Cut Copy’s stage presence or their ability to turn extended bongo drum solos into something we can actually enjoy.

Just because we’ve moved on to Issue 2 of F2 doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten about the coverboys from Issue 1. How could we? They are on every page of the internet it seems like sometimes. But since we are more loyal than the puppies in this video, we’re gonna put it up along with the remix of the same song by the old Midnight Juggs boys.

Video: Cut Copy, “Far Away (Live on The Interface)”

If you avert your eyes from this post for a minute, down and to the right, you will see a box for a little venture called F2 (Download here) that we put together and is powered by Timberland. On the “cover” of F2 is this band Cut Copy from Australia. We like them a lot and we like when they play their songs live, which is exactly what they did for Spinner.com’s The Interface. We chose “Far Away” but all videos are worth a look here.

Audio/Video: Cut Copy, “Lights & Music” & “Lights & Music” (Boys Noize Remix)

Listening to Cut Copy always brightens our day, so we recommend that you check out the “Lights & Music” video up above, and then light up your day EVEN MORE with the Boys Noize remix streaming below, which we expected to be totally distorted and crazy, but is actually low key and happy.

On the really real, Feist went gunning for that number one spot far as any live performances this week are concerned. She brought the tape loops, crazy hot vocalisms, and just plain ill stage presence, aided and abetted by all sorts of actual factual thunderstorms for emphasis – video soon, but for now check more pics from the FADER house after the jump.
