Freeload: Fucked Up, “No Epiphany” (No Age Remix)
- story THE FADER
The great thing about No Age entering the remix game is that they can pretty much be like,”We’re going to make your song sound like a beautiful sunset, or maybe we’re going to make it sound like we recorded it in a cave on the beach, but don’t worry because either way it will be awesome.” No Age’s disorienting remix of Fucked Up’s “No Epiphany” falls somewhere between both of those hypothetical situations and is definitely worth a listen. Buy the 7-inch here and then track down their remix of Bloc Party’s “Better Than Heaven” when that comes out as part of Intimacy Remixed on May 11th.

Live: Fucked Up For Twelve Hours
- story THE FADER
Today we headed over to the Rogan Store for the first couple hours of Fucked Up’s 12-hour marathon show, and discovered what 12-hour shows are made of: horror stories about MTV Canada, spooning with Pink Eyes and Mind Eraser, Colt 45, band members leaving the stage and audience members picking up the slack, and back hair. Good times, good times. But 12 hours of good times? Even the benderiest of benderers among us were intimidated. Fucked Up seemed skeptical too: “This is either the best idea or the stupidest idea we’ve ever had.”
We polled 12 random people at the show about their plans for the day.
Happy F*ing Holidays!
- story THE FADER
This just in from the Department of Awesomely Breaking News: Fucked Up, the rippers on perennial fave label What’s Your Rupture, are releasing a “special festive single” to benefit Toronto’s George Herman House, a housing/life skills program that supports women living with mental health issues. Along with the feelings of self worth/warm fuzzies that you get from helping those less fortunate, the 7-inch is filled with more treats than a stocking from Kris Kringle! Side A features “a brand new holiday themed song about the birth of our lord and savior” (not sure if they mean that in the god sense or the D’Angelo sense) and side B—hold on to your mistletoe—features another seasonal melody with: James Murphy of LCD famery, Cole from Black Lips, Matt Sweeney from Zwan and Will Oldham sidekickery, Dave One from Chromeo, Jay Reatard, and uhm Nelly Furtado. Plus other righteous sisters and brothers too numerous to mention here. Dec 15th will see a kickoff party which we’ll remind you about later, and until then check Fucked Up or What’s Your Rupture for more deets. Spread the holiday cheer!
