For our summer issue, now on newsstands, we went down to Atlanta to roll with Young Dro in his banana yellow Corvette and find out the deal on his upcoming album P.O.L.O. (Players Only Live Once). This new song, produced by Jim Jonsin, is apparently on the album and we are apparently going to listen to it for the rest of the day, though not in a vehicle that matches our socks.

Lil Wayne, “Fix My Hat” MP3

It took us a day to get around to this one because we’ve been so busy reading about Wayne suing Jim Jonsin because Wayne got sued over the sample in “I Feel Like Dying” by that song’s publishers who now want to see the receipts from Carter III because, as they say, Wayne used “I Feel Like Dying” to promote the album. Hate to break it to those dudes but unless they own a piece of “A Milli” their claims are crazy dubious. Let’s hope the same soap opera doesn’t mushroom out of this new one, supposedly off The Rebirth, because we would like to see Wayne get rich enough to buy as many hats as his heart desires.

According to DGYola.com, DG Yola’s Gutta World is finally coming out on April 24th. That could mean this year. It could mean last year. It could mean 4856. We just don’t know. And that is what is called building anticipation, kids. In the meantime, we’ll just keep posting these random tracks produced by Jim Jonsin as they float across the internet because Yola’s voice is like music to our ears.
