Lil Wayne f. Kidd Kidd, Mack Maine & Nicki Minaj, “Thinking to Myself” MP3

Anybody who thinks Lil Wayne doesn’t have soul needs to check themselves. This dude just taps into his passion pit and lets loose. Granted, it usually comes out when he is talking about punany, but the public record shows that Weezy is one fertile dude. In this one he also addresses himself (as “Self”). Might be a first for him, might not, but it’s office consensus that if we want to find out we will have to go through about 96,000 tracks and we don’t have time for that right now (got a magazine to put out and Lil Wayne’s babies to feed!), so if you know the answer, please tell us in the comments.

Video: Birdman f. Lil Wayne + Mack Maine, “Always Strapped” Remix

It’s quite possible that Jeezy’s freestyle over the “Always Strapped” beat on his new mixtape ruined the original for us. Not like he goes extra nuts lyrically, but he just knows how to ride guitar-heavy beats like this one so well. Here’s the Lil X directed video for the remix, which now features Mack Maine. Not that Baby hasn’t had his moments, but why not convince Jeezy to reprise his freestyle so that we all can have a pretty decent ominous summer banger?

Freeload: Lil Wayne f. T-Pain & Mack Maine, “Got Money” Remix

If you’re like us, as you go about your day being wildly cool you sometimes have some music nerd epiphanies. Like, last summer we played the fuck out of Kanye and T-Pain’s “The Good Life,” and so this summer you’d think that, naturally, we’d constantly have Wayne and Pain’s “Got Money” on repeat as our summer anthem. Except that song—while pretty good—is not exactly bringing us sunshine smiles. In fact, it’s actually kinda dark. So does that make it the polar opposite of “The Good Life?” Not really but whatever, Mack Maine has been on a roll lately, so throwing him on this track is a totally good idea.
