Why is Neon Gold so rad? They are like sophisticated Santa Clauses, reading our minds, predicting our wishes, and/or wiretapping our musical want-lists and then either signing that shit to their label or just putting it on their blog and writing something clever and sweet about it. This Wolf Gang track is a commissioned remix by Baby Monster, who make their synthy meditations from the not-so-auspicious wilds of Eugene, Oregon, a town more renowned for its kush than its crates. But then, maybe it's the dreamy weather and semi-close proximity to the sea that lets them tease out "Pieces of You"—an initially jaunty, angsty, soulful rock track—and reimagines Wolf Gang on a boat en route to an open-air, oscillating kind of heaven, great whales breaching majestically all around. So beautiful! If you're in London you are in luck because homeboy is playing an intimate show with his quirky labelmate Marina & the Diamonds this week, click here for details.
