British house and funky DJ/Rinse FM godhead Geeneus is about to embark on a tour of the UK, which is cool and all, but we definitely feel salty that he's not hitting up the States. Geeneus, what the hell dude! We neeeeeed you here. Even cosmopolitan New York only has one super consistent night featuring funky. (Turrbotaxx, which is tonight! Everyone should go!) Anyway, we'll be TEMPORARILY sated by this promo mixtape he did, featuring the man's own sick creations and exclusive verses from dope vocalist Katy B's forthcoming album (produced by Geeneus and Zinc). Geeneus is at the forefront of vocal-based UK funky, selective melodies and general rhythmic jams, and this shows why he's a dancefloor visionary. Got us feeling GOOD. Also, we highly recommend heading over to his MySpace and listening to his transcendent refix of "Good Life" (also starring Katy B).
