Kanye West Dons Suit, Performs New Tracks (Oh Yeah, He’s Also at Facebook HQ)

July 28, 2010

Kanye West wears a super natty suit, stands on a boardroom table at the Facebook headquarters (near some modernist chairs that are pretty nice, but probably wouldn't make it on his blog), and raps three new tracks from Good Ass Job: "Mama's Boyfriend," "Lost in the World" and "My Chain Heavy." They're heavy spitters, confirming what we learned from someone who's heard the record: 'Ye's going hard on his next album, returning 100 percent back to rap. I'm Socrates/ But my skin more chocolatey/ What's up with who?/ That's old news/ I'm in a speedboat/ In my boat shoes. Fuck yes. Anyway, the internet seems pretty incredulous that this happened, but like, of course Kanye's gonna perform anytime he has a platform, whether it's at an awards show or for the staff of Facebook in Palo Alto. (Actually, what's even more absurd than Kanye performing tracks from his next record at Facebook headquarters is that anything at all can still shock the internet generation.) More clips after the jump. (via Nah Right)

UPDATE: Go read Kanye's personal missive "to all my friends at Facebook," inexplicably not written in all caps. (Ye, you okay?)

UPDATE TWO: Money just joined Twitter, lawdamercy.
