Wiz Khalifa’s DayToday is Better than Real Housewives

January 11, 2011

Last Sunday on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Kim and Kandi embarked on a three city singing tour. Kim told the bus driver that if he would let her smoke on board it was cool if he drank. Kandi's two aunts came to see her sing acapella at the grown-and-sexy club in Charlotte, NC. They were so cute! Still, it was hard to watch the woman who wrote "No Scrubs" and "Bills, Bills, Bills" suffer physical comedy hijinks and try to sleep while on the clock for Andy Cohen. Wiz Khalifa is working and making reality videos only for himself! In Episode 6 of DayToday, we're on his Waken Baken tour bus. There he's forcibly hotboxing other people's sleeper bunks, doing a rap of weed-names over "Juicy" and looking good in crewneck sweatshirts. He also makes his pro-papers and anti-blunts manifesto clear and talks to a reporter about the troubles of nicotine. At the end of the episode on the way back to Pittsburgh, Wiz is in a moment of pause. His hood is up and cinched tight around his face, to narrow his vision and help him concentrate on the task of texting his hometown girls to make sure they can meet up when he gets there. When the labor of running down the list is done, Wiz tosses his uncased iPhone4 onto his bunk and it bounces right off onto the floor, the screen shatters. What a leveling moment! Everyone knows how bad this feels! And he reacts like you would, making terrified noises, sharing the hurt with his friends. But he recovers way faster than you might. It's cool, it's material things. Wiz has his health and his people, plus a lot of women waiting.
