NYC: Harald Grosskopf, Alan Howarth, Emeralds Live at Le Poisson Rouge Friday

April 06, 2011

Something really special is taking place this Friday at Le Poisson Rouge as part of this years' Unsound Festival. Harald Grosskopf, the German synth wizard and brains behind the 1980 Synthesist reissue from local synth-loving imprint, RVNG, is visiting the United States for the first time. He'll be making his US mark at LPR as part of RVNG's ongoing collaboration series, FRKWAYS. Grosskopf will be joined on stage by some of the artists featured in the companion compilation Re-Synthesist including Blondes, Arp, Emeralds, Julianna Barwick, Pink Skull and Laurel Halo. Alan Howarth opening the show is just the biggest cherry on top ever. Cop some tickets to this unmissable event here and then listen to Synthesist's title track below. Or if you prefer visuals, check out the above inspirational yo-yo excerpt vid.
