As previously reported, San Francisco five-piece Lumerians has a record due out this summer. Second single "Dogon Genesis" sees the band getting intimately acquainted with the sort of snarling organ riff that makes Suicide fans go wild, punctuated by the odd, bluesy guitar lick and the kind of cosmic wordplay that feels almost like a caricature of a psychedelic lyrics sheet. There's a good chance that all the reflections of reflections and shadows of shadows will just make you smile, but suspend disbelief for a few minutes, and this repetitious epic will make your senses wobble about as much as the deceptively static image above. The High Frontier drops August 6th via Partisan.
