Tory Lanez previews his “Chixtape II” tape with a steamy flip of the Brandy and Monica classic.

February 25, 2014

Tory Lanez, the Toronto-based singer/producer whose Conflicts of My Soul tape was one of the best projects from 2013's expanding niche of raunchy, tough-guy R&B, was five when Brandy and Monica released "The Boy Is Mine." No matter—it's still the inspiration behind "The Girl Is Mine," which flips the original and slows it down to a steamy crawl, and provides serious jersey dress inspiration in its short, smoky video. It'll appear on his forthcoming Chixtape II tape, which drops March 6th (the first one was released in 2011).
