Baauer Is Back with a New Age Twist On “Clang”

Listen to a ‘70s new age music sampling single from the producer of “Harlem Shake.”

Baauer, the young Brooklyn-based producer of meme-spawning song "Harlem Shake," is back with a new single on UK label LuckyMe. "Clang" samples the work of '70s German new age artist Buedi Siebert—who can be heard in conversation with Baauer in the 'making of' clip below—yet the result is less 'spiritual enlightenment soundtrack' and more 'sonic snack attack,' as it squishes together thick, juicy layers of percussion like peanut butter and jelly. Bauuer and LuckyMe are giving away "Clang" for free on a specially augmented version of Baauer's website that you just need to work out to get your hands on the mp3.
