Today the great Nile Rodgers -- who has leant his renown to the likes of Daft Punk, Avicii and Disclosure, at once blessing their disco-revival, reestablishing his own relevance and reviving his own career -- released his first solo record in a decade. The track, titled "Do What You Want to Do," was recorded last summer in Ibiza at last summer’s International Music Summit and then auctioned off to benefit Rodgers' We Are Family Foundation. The winning bid went to Cr2 Records, which will release it officially on August 10 in celebration of their 10th anniversary. Until then, via Rolling Stone, stream the warm and clubby radio edit below.
