Get Your Game Face on to Stream Rustie’s New Record, Green Language

The Scottish musician unveils his second album that fans can preview by playing an interactive video game.

It's not often that an album stream comes in the form of an interactive video game—only Gatekeeper's EXO comes to mind—but that's how Scottish producer Rustie is heralding the arrival of his upcoming sophomore record Green Language. Music fans with good eyes and fast reflexes can now preview the new album via an adventure game designed by Hunter Loftis. Through this website, players are transported to the Green Language world (whose look recalls an old-school video game, see the screengrabs below) where they have to reach a golden monument landmark each time in order to get to the next stage and unlock a new track from the album. Those who uncover the tracks will be given a stream of Green Language prior to its official release date on August 26th via Warp. In the meantime, read our GEN F profile on Rustie from the new issue.
