Ariel Pink Announces New Double LP; Listen to “Put Your Number in my Phone”

The prolific weirdo shares details of his new 17-track release, ‘pom pom.’

September 08, 2014

Prolific bedroom auteur turned rock star Ariel Pink just announced that he's got a double album called pom pom coming out on 4AD, and it features at least two songs co-written by cult pop producer Kim Fowley. "Although this is the first 'solo' record credited to my name," Pink writes in a press release, "it is by far the least 'solo' record I have ever recorded. "Put Your Number In My Phone" is one of 17 new tracks, and it's another lightly fuzzed and sweetly warped psych pop tune. An interlude features a voicemail recording of an annoyed potential lover who doesn't want to be ignored: "Hi Ariel, it's Jessica, we met at the taco truck in Silver Lake..." Pom pom is out November 18th; its album art and full track list are below.
