Legowelt Gives Away a 150-File Samplepack for One of His Vintage Drum Machines

The sounds of the obscure Korg Electribe ER1 can now be yours.

Legowelt’s website is a special kind of nook/cranny in the Internet. He often gives away great music for free there: two songs that once humbly sat in the “sound” category of his website have gone on to be released on one of the most popular dance labels of the last few years, L.I.E.S. He also likes to record comprehensive sample packs of hard-to-find vintage synthesizer and drum machine equipment, offering up the results as a download, a treatment he’s just given to the Korg Electribe ER1 Drum Synthesizer (you can find the link at the top of his homepage). It’s honestly worth downloading if only for the farthest-left-field titles like “Sober humorless german drab'n'grey Berlin Techno beat,” “VillageBellz,” “Grimpy Hat,” and “TunaMelt.” While you’re waiting for the 150 (!) .wav (!) samples to download, take another gander at his bizarre witch house (no, not that kind) project Pagan Sector’s video for “Druids 2 Frenzy.”
