David Samuels unconventional, beautifully-written profile characterizes one of pop culture's most ubiquitous stars through the lens of the people surrounding him; it's a sort-of homage to the 1966 Frank Sinatra profile with a similar name. It actually came out last week but we just saw it today, okay?

California Says "Yes Means Yes"

Governor Jerry Brown has officially signed a bill that makes California the first in the nation to define when "yes means yes," ABC News reports. "Silence or lack of resistance does not constitute consent," the legislation declares. The bill will be a much-needed push for colleges and universities to re-think how they prevent and investigate sexual assault allegations.

In one of my favorite science/folk crossover stories in recent memory, The Local reported that five Stockholm scientists have been low-key slipping Bob Dylan lyrics into written reports for decades now and actually competing to see who could get more in there before retirement. Kind of punk, to be honest.
