Lady Saw And Estelle Tackle Infidelity On “What Kinda Man”

The OG dancehall queen puts the kibosh on infidelities in this old-school soul banger.

When we last spoke with Lady Saw, the OG dancehall queen was singing the praises of self-love with "Pretty Fingers," the first single off of her long-awaited album, Album Ego. "When I perform it, I rub myself," revealed Saw. "I have females in the audience touching themselves. It's the safest way to have sex, you don't have to go to the doctor or anything." Today, Saw follows up "Pretty Fingers" with the equally frank and soul-baring song, "What Kinda Man." Enlisting UK R&B singer Estelle, Saw ponders the mental state of cheating men on this slow-stomping bluesy track. "Basically I am having a conversation with my girl friend about a lying man," Saw told us over email. "Why do they lie and cheat when it's easier to leave!" Thankfully, Saw offers up a spoonful of sugar with the harsh dose of reality she is doling out, and reassures her girlfriend with these sisterly pearls of wisdom: Don't lose yourself now / Please know your worth / Insecurity is all in your head. Stream "What Kinda Man" below and cop Alter Ego, which is out today on iTunes.
