Watch The Late, Great DJ Rashad Make A Beat In 10 Minutes

The best part of your week will probably be right about now, as Tim and Barry's footwork documentary I'm Tryna Tell Ya premieres online, featuring exclusive footage, tracks and interviews with Traxman, DJ Spinn, Manny, and, of course, Rashad. For those who don't know, Tim and Barry are the people behind Don't Watch That, an online music channel with shows including Just Jam (live streamed DJ sets and performances) and Beat This, a series in which producers are challenged to make a beat in ten minutes. During their stay in Chicago, they filmed an episode of the latter with the late, great DJ Rashad and it's totally incredible—for somebody whose music is so startlingly unique it's genuinely a treat to get to see it being made like this. Tim and Barry told The FADER a little about how the documentary came about: "We went to Chicago to film episodes of Beat This, interviews, mixes and footwork battles. It was an incredible trip. When we got home and started reviewing the footage, we realized we had enough to make a full length documentary and began the edit."
