Katie Crutchfield—one-half of defunct, beloved pop-punk duo P.S. Eliot—releases solo guitar-pop under the moniker Waxahatchee. Yesterday was her 26th birthday, and to celebrate she posted a short little video teaser for her third record, which Merge will release in April. The clip, embedded below, features shots of suburbia, behind-the-scenes footage of Crutchfield working on the LP, plus of a fragment of a brand new song that seemingly continues to explore the head-buzzing sweetness that made her first two albums—American Weekend and Cerulean Salt—so penetrating. Watch the video clip on her Tumblr.
