TLC Are Raising Money For Their Final Album On Kickstarter

Album will also be their first without presence of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.

UPDATE 1/22/15 9:23 a.m.: Well, that was quick: in less than a week, TLC's Kickstarter has been fully funded. As of this writing, $162,452 was donated by fans—or, $157,452 was donated by people that aren't Katy Perry.

UPDATE 1/21/15 10:10 a.m: TMZ reports that Katy Perry herself has donated a whopping $5,000 to TLC's Kickstarter. The Kickstarter reward for a $5,000 donation is a slumber party with T-Boz—and I think I have a decent idea of what slumber party accessories Katy Kat might be bringing along with her.

TLC's last official album was 2002's 3D, which was released seven months after the tragic death of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, but the band's surviving members, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, are trying to officially close the book on TLC's legacy with another album—and they need your help! The surviving members have launched a Kickstarter to fund the band's final album, which is as yet untitled. "This final album will be the first studio album by the two of us," Watkins and Thomas say in a statement on the Kickstarter page, adding, "Of course, Lisa's spirit will always be present in our music. That will never change."

Head here to find out more information on how you can contribute—as well as the potential swag that TLC are offering in return.
