Los Angeles-based friend crew WeDidIt has been having a spectacular couple of months. After releasing bass music kingpin RL Grime's debut album and announcing Shlohmo's upcoming LP on True Panther Sounds, the collective has unveiled a new single from multi-talented artist Purple. "Extinction" is a cinematic number that features the Berlin-via-Portugal producer in singer-songwriter mode, fusing his hazy vocals with a witch house-y beat. "'Extinction' deals with feelings of loss and distance," Purple told The FADER over email. "It was the first song I wrote for my album and the first song I am showing to the world." Get into it below, and listen out for Purple's debut album, Silence & Remorse, on WeDidIt this spring.
