Watch Bleachers And Bill Nye Talk About Riding Rollercoasters

Watch the super-scientist and Jack Antonoff talk about the meaning behind Bleachers’ “Rollercoaster.”

February 24, 2015

Bleachers' "Rollercoaster" is an insane rush of a song, powerful enough to make FADER's Best Tracks of 2014 list—but what, exactly, is it that makes this song so powerful? Good question—and Bleachers' Jack Antonoff is here to answer that, kind of, along with super-scientist Bill Nye the Science Guy. Watch above as the two plink out "Rollercoaster" together and discuss the chemical reactions that go hand in hand with falling in love (and riding rollercoasters, of course). "I think there's a good chance Bill might be an incredible songwriter," Antonoff explained in an email to FADER. "[He] just has to get out of his head a little. Nonetheless, speaking to him on the different aspects of what 'Rollercoaster' means emotional was majorly validating. He can come over my house whenever he wants. Also, he fixed my fridge. Not a joke."
