Beat The Comedown With Brtsh Knights And Eyedress’ New Track

The London trio and Filipino producer share a soothing and delicate new collaborative track.

There's something weirdly pleasant about being scatterbrained from a comedown—there's no headspace for big ideas or feelings, and no choice but to take things as they come and make the best of it. London trio Brtsh Knights (pictured, including Sweyn Jupiter, who recently collaborated with Night Slugs boss Bok Bok on "Papaya Lipgloss") and the XL Recordings-affiliated Filipino producer Eyedress (who featured in our spotlight on Manila) have come together to make the most out of that woozy state, pairing mechanical beats with the delicate atmospherics and soothing vocals of a stoned jam session. "We'd all been going in hard the night before and were in that early-week comedown zone," Brtsh Knights told The FADER via email. "So it was just a matter of everyone grabbing an instrument or a mic, sparking up, and just letting it flow. Everything's first-take, real stream-of-consciousness shit, which is what everyone likes to say, but it was." Stream the track below and be on the lookout for Brtsh Knight's debut Future Relic EP, due March 29th as a free download.
